The stats speak for themselves, Shaman is superior by far.

One of the more requested Journey to Un'Goro card requests we've gotten is Servant of Kalimos. The Elementals of Un'Goro haven't exactly done as well as many thought they would. Warlock has been completely devoid of them and as a result, we won't be including them in today's calculations. Mages haven't seen too much success either, but enough for us to justify their inclusion. Elemental Shaman is obviously the bannerman for the tribe at the moment and the primary reason we're tackling this card.

Shaman Elementals

There's a reason Shaman has become the defacto class for Elementals and it's not just because Blizzard gave them a ton of great minions in the tribe. The class itself already had a ton of Elementals prior to the Un'Goro launch and they've subsequently been added in the latest update. This includes monster bombs such as Fire ElementalAl'Akir the Windlord, and Earth Elemental. These three cards alone offer a solution to any given problem the deck might be having. Immediate removal, damage, or Taunt are all available at a reasonable price.

With a total of ten class Elementals, it makes sense that Shaman has prospered given the fact that Discover effects are four times more likely to present cards from your own class.

Mage Elementals

Elemental Mage isn't really a thing though some players have experimented with it and it's not hard to see why. Simply put, the Mage class Elementals just don't stack up, but they're also much less proactive with four out of the five having Deathrattles.
