Usually containing items promoting the various games the company is developing, there's always a certain amount of hype dedicated towards revealing what's inside. There are plenty of Hearthstone related series out there and Geek & Sundry is the latest to join the fray. In partnering with Blizzard, the studio is developing Worthy Opponents, a series which follows "duelists on their path to becoming a legend one turn at a time." Produced by Legendary Digital Networks and hosted by Critical Role’s Matt Mercer and eSports host Rachel “Seltzer” Quirico, the series will follow celebrity players as they compete to become the Tavern Master! Episodes are on their way to Geek & Sundry this fall. The full announcement is below.
Prepare to juggle knives, hope that Reno Jackson can save you from defeat, and ride Deathwing into victory this fall. Legendary Digital Networks announced today that they will be partnering with Blizzard Entertainment to bring you “Worthy Opponents,” a show highlighting duelists on their path to becoming a legend one turn at a time. Fear not, travelers, they won’t be alone on this journey. We have two of the best coaches around to make sure that they don’t get lost in the shuffle.

Critical Role’s Matt Mercer and eSports host Rachel “Seltzer” Quirico hosts this tournament of celebrity players. Each will pick a champion to guide to victory as they head into battle in the tavern. Many will enter the fray, but only one will rise to victory to become the Tavern Master! Episodes will premiere right here on Geek & Sundry in the fall.
