Whispers of the Old Gods - Forbidden but not Forgotten

What better way for the ancient evils to entice unsuspecting mortals than to make Forbidden that which they desire? Let’s explore these twisted cards from Whispers of the Old Gods, the most spine-tingling Hearthstone expansion yet!

While power may corrupt . . .  you’ll find that the risk of using Forbidden cards also carries substantial rewards. Playing a Forbidden card consumes all your available mana for the turn to fuel that card’s alluring effect—the more mana you spend, the more power the Old Gods will bestow upon you. What’s wrong with a little corruption, anyway?

Forbidden Flame - 0 mana - Spend all your Mana. Deal that much damage to a minion.

Forbidden Flame

D-d-d-don’t touch that! Who knows from what terrible depths that flame has emerged! Forbidden Flame offers limitless power*—be sure to wield it carefully so you don’t get burned.

Forbidden Shaping - 0 mana, Spend all your Mana. Summon a random minion that costs that much.

Forbidden Shaping

Aw, such a cute little blob of purple goop. So innocent and easily influenced by the ancient evils. So malleable. So flexible! Just spend a little mana (or a LOT), and the Forbidden Shaping morphs to become just the minion you need to make things slippery for your opponent.

We hope this little taste of the Forbidden has not corrupted spoiled you TOO much, as we still have plenty left to show you. Be on the lookout as the mayhem continues to spread.

*Power is limited by the amount of mana you are able to spend. Your mileage may vary.
