This Hero Ability WILL stack with itself and other Armor sources. Assuming you don't get attacked, you can keep stacking on the Armor Points.
Armor functions exactly like additional HP. It does not reduce incoming damage.
You can stack Armor with no limit, unlike the Priest class ability
which cannot heal the player above the initial 30 health. The Priest ability is far more versatile though, because it can target any minion, or be used offensively by using

Since Armor pretty much functions exactly like life, barring immediate death, a Warrior should always attack first (with a weapon or non-Zero attack value on the hero e.g
. This is because there are cards that reward being on lower life (
), and higher on Armor (
), so currently it is strictly better to Armor Up after attacking.
Armor does not prevent a hero from being frozen by cards such as
11 Mar 2014 patch notes
: "Water Elemental (Mage) will now properly freeze armored heroes as intended."
Prior to this, if Armor completed prevented the Water Elemental from doing any damage (i.e only Armor damage was taken), the hero would not be frozen.
Under very rare circumstances, it is possible for a Warrior to have 1 or more Armor, and yet have 0 or less health, causing that Warrior to lose the game. This happens if the damage done to kill the Warrior occurs at the same time or just prior to damage being done to trigger an
. Another example is using
while an enemy Warrior has no Armor, but has an Armorsmith in play.
After winning those 500 matches on Play Mode your hero card will turn Golden.
I think it turn your hero power golden too.
This hero power is on the lower side of useful. Its key advantage is that it's never, ever unusable as long as you've got the mana free. There is virtually no situation where an extra 2 points of armor won't help you, and you don't need some special board state to make it useful.
That said, this power also does very little to -improve- your board. Yes, it has its uses, but all you're really doing is buying yourself some time. It's never useless, but it's also never stellar. Aggressively middle-of-the-road as far as hero powers go.
Gain 2 Armor.
This card cannot be added to decks.
