Captain Greenskin was an elite goblin in the Deadmines, a goblin captain in the employ of Edwin VanCleef. His first mate was Mr. Smite, and the cook aboard his ship is Cookie. He was originally found in the first version of the Deadmines, along with two guards. His current status is: Deceased. He was affiliated with The Defias Brotherhood and the Bloodsail Buccaneers.

Card sucks now. +1/+1 to a weapon seems like something that should be on a common minion, not a legendary, and the 5/4 body is hardly worth the 5 mana.

He is a pirate => becomes 6/5 with Southsea Captain in pirate decks.

As mentioned, Greenskin was 5/5 with «Whenever you attack with your hero, draw a card».
Now many people think that the current version sucks... but this card still can be effective

Sword of Justice — one of the best Paladin cards; now it can buff one more creature; also becomes weapon with 2 attack.
Truesilver Champion on 4th turn followed by Greenskin on 5th turn — now has 5 attack and you can attack one more time.
Gladiator's Longbow — you can deal 6 damage 3 times taking no damage — that's just incredible.
Gorehowl — you can hit face now; and with Upgrade! even twice or thrice — that leads to win in most cases.

An upside of using this in a weapon-based hunter deck is that when one of your webspinners summons captain's parrot, it can be used to instantly draw Greenskin :)
