Holy Light - Card - Hearthstone
This card is used in
26.62% of all Paladin decks
Depressing Golden Card for some reason.
EDIT: Guess the Golden Card got updated. Previously, it was like... drab gray colored and the guy looked sad.
Actually, the artists are Zoltan Boros and Gabor Szikszai. Blizzard should fix these cards and display "Boros & Szikszai" instead
Golden version unlocked at Paladin level 15 and 20
This card and all "heal for X" cards are typically considered to be "beginner traps" by better players.
One card in your deck isn't a terrible idea and can help curb some of the stomping by some decks: a mage blows 8 mana to pyro you for 10 and you blow 3 mana to healing touch for 8.
But two is just a bad call. The logic goes like this: "Usually with two you get 1-2 in your hand which end up being dead cards. If you had a different card in your deck, you may have been able to maintain better board control and not lost the HP to begin with."
However, minion cards with battlecry heals are not bad. The 2-heal Witch Doctor is generally considered too little (And 1-drops too wasteful due to mages/rogues/druids), but the 3-heal Farseer and the 6-heal Guardian of Ancient Kings are both strong cards, because they offer a heal IN CONJUNCTION WITH maintaining board presence.
I actually won a game just the other day where I was down to 1 HP as a Paladin against a Priest with 25+ HP, and between Guardian of Ancient Kings and Truesilver Champion I managed to heal JUST ENOUGH to clear the board and defeat him!
Not a very useful card. Two mana for 6 health is good, but wasting a card to gain 6 health is quite lousy. It can be useful to heal a minion back up to full health, but you won't get the opportunity to do so very often and you wasted a spot in your deck that could have been used for another solid minion. You also tend to either draw this card too early and basically have one less card on hand to play, or too late for it to help.
If you want to heal yourself,
Guardian of Kings
is a better choice. Same healing and for just five mana extra you get a pretty nice 5/6 minion (without having spent a card on it).
An alternative if you want the versatility to heal anything is
Lay On Hands
, which is far more deserving of a spot in your deck but obviously also far harder to get your hands on (no pun intended).
