This card finds its place in Spellblade decks that involve two Gadgetzan Auctioneers, largely just due to its ability to trigger the draw power. It's a strong way to punish opponents who don't position their strongest minions properly against a Rogue.
This card can be best used to weaken the opponent's strongest minions, so that a Fan of Knives finishes their entire side of the board. Alternatively, it can be used to make their strongest minions kill their weak-but-important ones!
In case its wording isn't clear: you cast it on an opponent's minion, and that minion then deals its damage to the two nearby minions. The minion you cast it on DOES NOT take return-damage from the two minions it deals damage to.
I wish i had known earlier that i could have bribed my guild master into giving me the guild with some chocolate and stuffed animals
Does it hit stealth minions?
Not affected by +Spell Damage, in case you were wondering.
If you cast on a
both minions next to it will die automatically. Ok, sorry, this is already said.
I've noticed with this card, that when it is cast on a minion on the "outside," it will pacman-style wrap around and hit the minion on the other far side as well. See example below:
Say your side of the board has four minions, arranged as such:
Minion 1 .... Minion 2 .... Minion 3 .... Minion 4
If this card is played on Minion 1, Minion 1 will deal its damage to both Minion 2 and Minion 4.
I hope I haven't worded that confusingly. In any sense, beware! Also, does anyone know if this is intended?
The golden version of this card adds a whole new element of sadness to this card. A betrayed ally's corpse, motionless as the wind and leaves blow around it.
A note: if the minion you're using this on has an effect to do something if they're damaged by it (e.x.
) will trigger the effect.
Anyone else notice on the artwork that the sword has gone straight through the shield?
Always pay your repair bills
the illustration looks great
Even though this is a spell that deals damage, it is not affected by spell damage bonus. I didn't even think that I have to check if a "
" is affected by the "
" buff. Even if it says that it "forces" the damage, since forcing is still dealing. But apparently I had to, and thanks to Blizzard's consistency in their card mechanics logic, I just lost an Arena.
Force an enemy minion to deal its damage to the minions next to it.
Everyone has a price. Gnomes, for example, can be persuaded by stuffed animals and small amounts of chocolate.
