"Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to infiltrate Stormwind Keep. There, you must lock down the dinner room and prevent target from entering said room. You'll rendezvous with the King there, where final preperations are to be taken care of.
You have been entrusted with a very important parcel. Please do not tip it over the side. And do not, EVER flip it upside down.
PS: This letter will self-destruct in ten seconds."
This guy is pretty potent when used in conjunction with a "bounce" deck; IE a deck that continuously returns minions to your hand. A free 2 damage every time he is played can be surprisingly powerful, taking out or weakening the enemy minions just enough to finish them off with another Rogue spell.
providing the best possible turn 2 play for a Rogue. The 2 damage proc will almost always guarantee free removal on any minion your opponent has played prior on turns 1 and 2.
Do yourself a favour and run 2 of these in your deck. Free 2 damage goes a long way.
FYI The combo's power is not enhanced by +Spell Damage minions.
This is an incredibly strong and versatile card.
Turn 2 it can be combo-ed with
to take out a x/2
Turn 3+ it can be combo-ed with
to get rid of any x/4 creature, or even two x/2
All around the game I find it useful for easy x/2 pick off, or finishing off creatures that are enraged that I don't want to touch. Even using it to deal an extra 2 damage to the enemy hero for a surprising fatal that they weren't expecting. You'll never be upset that you're getting free damage, worst case scenario you can just throw it at the enemy hero.
That being said... it doesn't benefit from any source of spell damage, such as
Worth noting about this guy is that his combo effect does
count as a Battlecry effect, despite mechanically working exactly like one. Cards like
do not make him more expensive.
Someone mentioned that his summoning line sounds like "Hah, disguised toast". I can't unhear it now.
